2014-15 Reward School
Robert Treat Academy has been named a Reward School for the 4th consecutive year! A Reward School is a school with outstanding student achievement or growth over the past three years.
Robert Treat Academy offers children ages five and older an opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and stimulating academic environment in which the core subjects of language arts, mathematics, science, technology, social science and world language are bonded to the values of self-worth, respect for one another, one’s community, state and nation. Students, parents, staff and adult community members will each play critical roles in the Academy, a total involvement institution. Parental participation, year-round learning and cultural experiences will demonstrate to all that success, hope and perseverance are habits just as caring, compassion and fairness are habits. The Academy nurtures a total commitment to high academic standards, socially acceptable behavior and the recognition that all individuals are created equal and must be given an equal educational opportunity.
- A Lead Drinking Water Testing Sampling Plan was developed to test all drinking water outlets used for consumption or food preparation. The results of all water outlets at both campuses came back well below the action level of 15 part per billion with the exception of the playground water fountain at SNA Campus. This outlet has been taken out of service until remedial measures are taken and another water sample is tested.
- RTA is accepting applications for 2017-2018.

September 16-October 16, 2017 Citrus Sale
The middle school students of RTA will be participating in the citrus sale this coming month. The proceeds will be used for the expansion of the JRC. The citrus sale has moved into the 21st century whereas you may order on line and/or send it to an address other than being delivered to the school. This is great for gift giving and expanding our sales to family members that do not live nearby. Thank you in advance for your help in our fundraising.
Please have all sales into school by October 16, 2017 so we may receive our order the week before Thanksgiving. All orders must be accompanied with payment (cash or checks made out to Robert Treat Academy).
RTA gives back... one pencil at a time!
For the month of January and February, the Student Council came together and created a community service for the students at RTA. We learned that a school in the Dominican Republic was in need of school supplies so we sprang into action! We started up a School Supplies Drive Competition! This was a friendly competition between the classes and campuses to see who can bring in the most school supplies. Each type of school supplies had points that it counted for and all the classes competed to see who can rack up the most points. Congratulations to: 4th grade, Room 202 at the Stephen N. Adubato Campus and Kindergarten, Room 13 at the Jackie Robinson Campus!
On behalf of the Student Council Advisors, Mr. Golombuski, Ms. Liccardi, Mrs. Peguero, and Mr. Lee, we are so proud of Robert Treat Academy students and all that they have done for our School Supplies Drive. The students rose to the occasion and donated so much, from backpacks to glue sticks to several notebooks!
We want to thank the families of 4th grader, Arianna Guerrero-Valencia & 2nd grader, Mia Valentina- Guerrero who donated over 700 notebooks to the drive.
We also want to thank Ms. Bernadette Kazanjian, our Reading Remediation Teacher at the Jackie Robinson Campus, who brought this need to our attention, we couldn't have done this without you!
With over 5,000 school supplies donated, the children at the Dominican Republic school are now equipped with the tools to get a strong education. This is one of the many things that Robert Treat Academy stands for: community service, giving back to not just our community but to those outside our four walls who need our help!
